Making your wood burner more efficient

Please make sure you have  your chimney swept at least once a year to help clear any tar or deposit from the chimney, failing to do this could cause a chimney fire. Chimneys should be swept:

• at least once a year when using smokeless fuels/ coals
• at least once a year when using bituminous coal
• every three months when using wood/logs
• once a year when using oil
• once a year when using gas
